Our Legal Service Options

We offer three different Naturalization service options:

1. SL Executive-Service - An attorney prepares and handles your case from start to finish. This includes:

  • Verifying your eligibility,
  • Reviewing your personal circumstances,
  • Properly completing the correct government forms,
  • Submitting your application to U.S. Immigration and monitoring its processing to ensure positive results,
  • Resolving and explaining any criminal or other issues that may affect your case, and
  • Having access to attorneys via telephone during normal business hours or e-mail correspondence within 24 hours.
  • The fee for this service is $1,500 plus a $675 government filing fee and a $75 charge for disbursements.

2. SL Lite-Service - This provides guidance and oversight in the preparation, filing and monitoring of your N-400 application. It is efficient, complete and well-suited to those individuals who are interested in saving money but still desire the guidance and support of an experienced immigration law firm. This process includes:

  • Consultating with an attorney,
  • Client completes questionnaire,
  • Attorney then prepares forms,
  • Client reviews and returns forms, gathers all documents, assembles required exhibits, completes cover letter and returns to attorney for review, and
  • Attorney then files forms with proper USCIS office. (If forms are incomplete or assembled improperly, they will be sent back to client.)
  • The fee for this service is $750, plus $675 government filing fee and a $75 charge for disbursements.

 3. SL Self-Service - Download our Naturalization Guide and follow directions.

  • This do-it-yourself package will guide you in completing the application for U.S. citizenship on your own. While this option includes forms and step-by-step instructions, it does not include legal advice or further guidance.
  • Serotte Law Firm in no way accepts responsibility for the denial of citizenship or extended processing times for Self-Service.
  • The fee for this option is $75. You are responsible for the $675 government filing fee and mailing costs.

NOTE: When filling out the N-400 application, if you answer "Yes" to any question between Numbers 1 through 32 in Part 10, or "No" to any question between Numbers 34 through 39 in Part 10 (Oath Requirements of application), it may be necessary for you to consult an attorney and potentially upgrade to the Lite-Service or Executive-Service.
